How can Retailers do KYC on their own
A Retailer can do self KYC by three different KYC methods, as follows
- Aadhar OTP (If mobile number is linked with Aadhar Card for receiving OTP)
- Non-Aadhar (Who doesn’t have Aadhar Card)
- Biometric (By using fingerprint scanner machine)
As mentioned above, retailer can do self KYC by using one of them.
Aadhar OTP : If Retailer had linked mobile number with Aadhar then Aadhar OTP method should be selected, as it is the best and easiest method of KYC. We always recommend our distributors and super distributors to choose the Aadhaar OTP KYC method. However the Distributor or Super Distributor should ask their retailer whether the mobile number is linked to Aadhar.
Non-Aadhar KYC : If the retailer does not have an Aadhaar card during KYC (uploading documents), a driving license or voter ID card can be used as an address proof. However, ID activation may take longer, as it undergoes manual document verification.
Biometric : For this KYC method the retailer must have a biometric fingerprint scanner device that works better with the ReliPay app. If Retailer has biometric device and Aadhar card, then this option is is easy to do KYC of Retailer by self. By this method, KYC is approved within half an hour and there is very little chance of being rejected.
Important points to note :
- Retailer need to upload original documents for verification.
- All documents must have self attested.
- For self attestation the sign should be same as printed on the PAN Card.
- Documents should not be blurred. While taking a photo, keep the phone’s camera upright and the flash light off.
